An example based on the cards above
‘You’re oceans apart,’ I said to the Man who failed to communicate his intentions to the Woman in his life (Man, Woman, Ship). I then continued: ‘As poisoning the house is never a good idea (Snake, House, Mice on the table), I entice you to recalibrate the familiar (Child, House). Let the clarity of the obvious (Birds, Child, Sun) disperse the Clouds (surprise card) and diminish the loss of energy and goodwill you experience in your domestic affairs’ (Mice).
Generally I unpack the message in a 9-card reading in a document that fils some 5 to 6 pages – sometimes more, depending on the situation and what the context reveals.
In addition to giving advice in accordance, I make clear distinctions between the descriptive, prescriptive, and reflective levels in the visual text that emerges out of the 9-card tableau, and point as well to how the cards can wax poetic, even as they refer to the most mundane affairs.
