Riches and honors
Every 12 years Jupiter encounters the fixed star Aldebaran, the one known to grant ‘riches and honors’ in astrological parlance. During the conjunction, I elected the most auspicious time, and made my petition for both riches and honors. I held nothing back, for the way I see it, if your name is honored for the work you perform, riches follow.
So I asked for riches and honors. While at it, I consecrated an anointing face oil, j a l – j+al for Jupiter on Aldebaran – some of which I want to share with others. It takes the form of my previous anointing oils: a 10 ml bottle with a dropper containing a most magical blend of natural essences: labdanum, benzoin, frankincense, rose attar, ylang ylang, cinnamon, and juniper. All sunk into Japanese camellia sinensis oil.
The sigil
As with my talismanic scent offerings, this Jupiter on Aldebaran oil comes with a Jupiter/Aldebaran sigil crafted on the hour. Each sigil is unique. As Aldebaran’s glyph is the cross that Jupiter’s glyph shares, the sigil is a bind by default, that is, what you see, is the standard Jupiter sigil, but Aldebaran’s glyph is encoded into it as a matter of astrological convention. I had fun thinking about this liaison.
The magic behind it
There are only 9 bottles available, the number of what I can create in situ from scratch. The same goes for the sigils. Personally I like this constraint, as it prevents me from the desire to scale, to make it big – though Jupiter would like that. But as an aging woman, I’m not interested in that kind of ‘big’ or ‘large’ or ‘a business that grows’ aiming for corporate status. I want ‘riches and honors’ but the kind that doesn’t give me a headache. Imagine having to deal with a million customers. No, thanks… Not even if I’d have to hire someone else to do it instead. I’m interested in ‘riches and honors’ on the personal scale, the scale of what I can manage on my own.
But mind you, just because I’m driven by modest aims, it doesn’t mean that if you get my version of ‘riches and honors’ you can’t have more. You can, and you will, magically speaking, if that is what you wish. So, grab one of the 9 wonders of the world, and be happy.
